about diana
A traveler. A writer. A New York City girl (originally from Seattle) that loves to combine traveling (all over the world) and writing about it either a) on that trip or b) at her favorite coffee shop in New York City (yay for Think Coffee)!
I travel when I can and when I can’t, I want to be traveling! My goal is to have my readers feel a connection to the places or events I write about and I hope to inform and encourage everyone to get off “the beaten path” on their own travels or even in their own home town.
Mexico and Central America tend to be my favorite spots as I love tropical weather (who doesn’t?!) Hiking, scuba diving and trail running are hobbies of mine so at times I bring those angles into my articles. I write quite a bit of material on NYC as I think its the best city in the world and here too I enjoy finding the less mainstream areas/events and bringing them to life for other NY’ers that read my articles or for those who have yet to visit.
To feed my desire to Travel. Write. Repeat. I enroll in writing and writing theory classes at NYU which are always interesting and give me such motivation– although my motivation is pretty high as it stands. I have a gorgeous husband who is most often my travel buddy and two little dachshunds that I swear are the cutest dachshunds that have ever lived.
I am also a freelance writer that regularly contributes to www.seenyc.com offering articles, tips and things to do and see in New York City for first time visitors or repeat fans! You can keep up to date on what is happening here, book your flights, find restaurants and get theatre tickets all in one place!
I’m also known to brag about being a retired basketball coach for 11 year old boys at the YMCA where I still hold the record for most undefeated seasons in a row.
Thanks for reading and leave me a comment–especially a nice one, I like those best.
